Males are five times as likely to be admitted for such an injury than females. Ryan Mutter is a senior economist at HHSâ Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. âSixty percent of visits to the emergency department for air and paintball gun injuries were for children and adolescents seventeen and younger.
