Oakland International Airport Welcomes Norwegian Air Shuttle

First Nonstop Flight between Oslo, Norway and the San Francisco Bay Area
First Boeing 787 Dreamliner Service at OAK


Oakland International Airport will welcome its newest airline, Norwegian Air Shuttle, as the 787 Dreamliner arrives from Oslo, Norway on its history-making flight to Oakland. The new service will have a direct impact on the Bay Area tourism economy as well as creating jobs at the Oakland International Airport.

Norwegian Air Shuttle was recently named Europe’s #1 Low Cost Airline. It  began nonstop service between Stockholm, Sweden and Oakland International Airport  on May 3.

Norwegian Air Shuttle will begin Oslo, Norway service aboard the brand new “state of the art” 787 Dreamliner offering low fares and great service to dozens of destinations throughout Europe, Northern Africa and the Middle East.
