...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM MST FRIDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GREAT FALLS HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT
UNTIL 5 PM MST FRIDAY.

* TIMING AND MAIN IMPACT: SNOW WILL DEVELOP OVER SOUTHWEST MONTANA
  THIS EVENING OVER BEAVERHEAD COUNTY...AND THEN GRADUALLY SPREAD
  EASTWARD OVER MADISON AND GALLATIN COUNTIES BY LATE EVENING.
  EXPECT LIGHT SNOW TO CONTINUE TO FALL OVER SOUTHWEST MONTANA
  THROUGH THE DAY ON FRIDAY.

* WINDS AND VISIBILITY: EXPECT WEST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH...WITH
  GUSTS UP TO 35 ON FRIDAY. THESE WIND SPEEDS WILL CREATE AREAS OF
  BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW...ALONG WITH REDUCED VISIBILITIES BELOW
  ONE MILE AT TIMES.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES ARE
  EXPECTED AT LOWER ELEVATIONS...WITH 3 TO 6 INCHES EXPECTED ABOVE
  6000 FEET.

* OTHER IMPACTS: EXPECT UNTREATED ROADWAYS TO BECOME SNOW COVERED
  AND SLIPPERY BY FRIDAY MORNING...ALONG WITH REDUCED VISIBILITIES
  BECAUSE OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.
